And also the writing of the screenplay for the documentary-fiction "Citoyen Grégoire", a political portrait of Father Grégoire, very active in the French Revolution.
During this collective work, I was very intrigued to see that colleagues spent a lot of time defending the Palestinian cause. In addition, I knew very little about the situation in the Middle East, the situation of the Palestinians, the creation of the State of Israel ...
Disability, Palestine, audiovisual: these are three good reasons to go to Martigues to film Gazan footballers. This sporting meeting taking place in 2 months, I did not have time to mount a production with television, co-producers, etc ...
With the agreement of the Solidarity Collective for the Palestine of Martigues, I then decided to spend a few days in Martigues between July 3 and 6, 2019 (at 45 degrees in the shade!), Without a film crew, and without means techniques, with just a simple camera!
And so I filmed the Gazan footballers in Martigues, training, resting, at the beach, various meetings, singing evenings, etc. until the final match of July 6, 2019 at the Turcan stadium in Martigues. "

This one, invited by the Collective, consisted for the most part of young men wounded recently by Israeli snipers during the Marches of Return, demonstrations organized at the Border between the Gaza Strip and Israel, and having for object the restitution by Israel land from which the Palestinians were expelled or fled in 1948, and the lifting of the blockade on Gaza.
In March 2019, belatedly, I learned from pro-Palestinian networks that the Collectif de Solidarité Palestine de Martigues organized in July 2019 a football match for amputees between the French national team and the very young team from Gaza.
EIn December 2009, after the war waged by Israel against Gaza and causing very many Palestinian deaths, I participated in the International March for Gaza, with a thousand people mainly from the United States and with the hope of entering Gaza: unfortunately, we were blocked in Cairo by the Egyptian army…
Since 2008, I have been constantly updated almost daily on the latest news of the conflict between Israel and Palestine, and I am still as revolted as when I returned from this Civil Mission.
I came back moved, shocked, upset, revolted: I discovered an abysmal injustice, 2 hours by plane from Roissy. I promise myself that I will put my audiovisual skills at the service of this Palestinian cause at a convenient time.
As soon as I returned from Palestine, I put on a slide show which I presented in my village and other communes of Ardèche.
"It all started in 1992. I was then working at GRETA Sud-Ardèche, in Aubenas, as a trainer on a course entitled" Audiovisual production techniques ". With a dozen people passionate about audiovisual, we created a Collective of production and creation of documentary films: ARTIS.
This is how I came to work on the scriptwriting of films such as "sous les Gallé, la fièvre...", documentary-fiction on the political commitment of Emile Gallé, leader of the artistic movement "The School of Nancy", through its works of glass and wood.

So when I learned that in March 2008, a 136th International Civilian Mission for the Protection of the Palestinian People was taking place in the West Bank and in Israel, I immediately signed up with ten people. Thanks to our Palestinian hosts in the West Bank, we discovered first-hand the reality of Israel's colonization and occupation of Palestine.
